Truck Pulls Return, Demolition Derby Dates Released for 2016 NS Provincial Exhibition

Once one of the major attractions at the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, Truck Pulls are making a return to the event in August.

Expected to draw a big crowd once again, the Truck Pulls will be one of the highlights on the closing day of the Exhibition on Saturday, August 27th. The pulls are scheduled to start in the day and finish under the lights. Competitor info (start times, divisions, rules, etc.) will be released when available.

Based on the success of the 2015 edition, the Demolition Derby events will run on Wednesday and Friday this year. The Rear Wheel Drive Demolition Derby will go on Wednesday, August 24th with the Front Wheel Drive portion of the event getting the starting horn on Friday, August 26th. Last year, the Front Wheel Drive Derby was scheduled to go on Thursday of Exhibition week, but was postponed to Friday due to rain. With the crowd it drew on the Friday night, the committee decided to keep the Front Wheel Drive Derby on Friday night for 2016. Kevin Grant of East Mountain swept both the Rear Wheel Drive and Front Wheel Drive Demolition events in 2015.

Luc Richard and Andrew Peterson will oversee the events for the second consecutive year.
