2015 Finish Line Vinyl Design Best Looking Car Results – Battle of New Brunswick and Newfoundland
You and our panel voted – and we listened!
Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing results for the Tim’s Corner Motorsports Best of Maritime Awards. Fans voted through three rounds on nine different categories, with the nominees for the TCM Power Performer of the Year to be announced in November.
A panel of three had an influence in the TCM Breakout Performer of the Year and the Kings County Performance Rookie of the Year Awards, while twenty judges narrowed the 2015 Finish Line Vinyl Design Best Looking Car Award to five cars. Fan voted categories included Favorite Tracks (Weekly, Monthly, Special Event) and Touring Series, Favorite Staple Race Track Food and the prestigious TCM Most Popular Driver Award.
SCORING EXPLANATION – Our over 60 car field that was nominated by fans was narrowed down to five for our Fan Vote following our panel consideration. Our panel was made up of 20, mostly those from outside of Canada and even a couple from inside the borders who don’t frequent stock car tracks. Each of them was asked to pick their favorite five cars from the field, in no particular order, with each of their picks getting one “panel vote.”
The top car in the Panel Vote, the one receiving the most points from the panel, received 10 points towards the Finish Line Vinyl Design Best Looking Car final scoring. The points drop two points per position, with the fifth place driver receiving two points.
Same scoring goes for the Fan Vote, with the winner of the Fan Vote receiving ten points towards the Finish Line Vinyl Design Best Looking Car Award. The points drop two points per position, with the fifth place driver in the Fan Vote receiving two points.
The scoring from the final Panel Vote and Fan Vote results are combined, giving us an overall winner. The maximum a car could receive in scoring is 20.
Without further adieu, here are the results from the 2015 Finish Line Vinyl Design Best Looking Car Award.
