Shediac’s Centre for Speed: Going back to a one weekend schedule for stock cars in 2015, the Atlantic Championships remains the lone stock car event on the slate at the Grand-Barachois, NB track. Speedway Miramichi: Changing ownership in 2015 from Jason Carnahan to Barry Richard, Speedway Miramichi’s Chi City Showdown event remained a success and grew in popularity this past September. TCM Fan Favorite Touring Series:
Atlantic Modified Tour: Taking on a new look this season, the mainstay Atlantic Canadian series grew in car count as the season wore on in 2015. A new champion emerged in Brandon Skidmore, a contender emerged in Justin Beers and the racing, which took place on three New Brunswick short tracks, was exciting to watch. The series, which started in May, caps their season at the road course in North Salem, NS on October 11th.
Eastern Super Mini Cup Series: Continuing to build their unique brand of stock car entertainment, the series contested races in 2015 at Speedway Miramichi, Oyster Bed Speedway, Petty Raceway and their finale will run tentatively on October 3rd at the CENTRE For Speed. These little machines put on a big show when they hit the track and have even attracted four cylinder stars Patricia Taylor and Mike Weagle to split a car in a part time schedule in 2015!
NAPA Sportsman Series: The popular Late Model Sportsman touring series runs nine races between Riverside International Speedway and Cape Breton Miners Memorial Speedway from June to September. Including some of the top talent in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, the series even attracted a handful of cars from Newfoundland for a part time schedule in 2015.
Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour: The reigning TCM Fan Favorite Touring Series champion enjoyed one of the closest title fights in their 15 year history in 2015, with Donald Chisholm edging out youngsters Cole Butcher and Dylan Blenkhorn for the championship. The racing, which took place at Scotia Speedworld, Riverside Speedway, Petty Raceway, Speedway 660 and Oyster Bed Speedway, was close from flag-to-flag and featured some exciting edge-of-your-seat Pro Stock action through every turn! Their schedule runs from May to September.
