Skidmore Wins AMT Village Family Restaurant 50 At Chi City Showdown
Series Release/Photo
(Miramichi, NB) For the fourth time in 2015, it was Brandon Skidmore going to Victory Lane in an Atlantic Modified Tour event. This time, Skidmore led the majority of the Village Family Restaurant 50 as part of the 2nd annual Chi City Showdown.
Skidmore made his way to the front after early race leader Drew Betts cut down a tire and spun on the back stretch. Betts would make his way back to 7th after a couple of spins.
Drew’s Father-In-Law Tom Betts would lead laps out front before giving up the lead under caution and racing his way back through the field. The former Pro Stock driver fared better as he rebounded for 3rd following a run-in with 4 time series Champion Mike Raeburn.
Rookie Justin Beers improved on a former career best of third with a runner up finish. Beers couldn’t make the outside work and settled for a close 2nd to Skidmore.
Cody Price kept out of trouble and brought home an impressive 4th place. Price will look to knock down his first win of 2015 going into the Season Finale at Petty next Saturday afternoon.
Former Blue Mountain Speedway owner Peter Chisholm made his long-awaited debut in the Atlantic Modified Tour and brought the car home with a top 10, even following Rear End issues in practice.
Drew Betts and Brandon Skidmore brought home heat race wins.
