INEX Winter Nationals – Day One – Hall Wins Semi Pro Feature

It took four years but Cory Hall is finally a winner at INEX Winter Nationals.

The Jolicure, New Brunswick driver has been coming to the event since 2013 and while he has come close to victory, he had yet to pull it off until Monday. Hall won the Semi Pro Legends feature by passing and holding off a hard charging Vince Midas. Nicholas Naugle of Dartmouth had led the feature but contact with Hudson Halder sent him to the rear in the early laps. He would rebound to fourth place. Waylon Farrell went for a spin in Turn Four but would rally to 13th, one spot ahead of his brother Will Farrell.

Paul Goulden made his INEX Winter Nationals debut in the Masters division with a 9th place finish. Ira Laughy battled within the top four for the duration of the 30-lap feature and would wind up in second at the end.

Dylan Dowe crossed the stripe first in the Beginner Bandit Bandolero feature but would fail post race technical inspection. His sister Brooke was credited with fourth place in the race.

Nathan Langille finished second to Leland Honeyman in the Bandits feature on Monday. Owen Mahar crossed the line in fourth but did not pass post race technical inspection. The team explains that an air filter bracket was the cause for the disqualification on their Facebook page.

Josh Langille used the choose restart rule to his advantage in the Outlaw feature to battle for the lead but would slide back to sixth at the end of the race, which was won by Tommy Good. Sam Rogers, Michael Cormier and Danny Chisholm finished third through fifth on Day One with Michael Neary bringing his car home in eleventh place.
