Four divisions will be featured including; the Toursec Thunder & Lightning, Affordable Fuels Sportsman and the Strictly Hydraulics Legends. Admission is just $15.00 for Adults; Youth (8-15) are $5.00 and children 7 and under are free! Tickets are available at the gate on race day (cash only). Grandstand gates open at 5:00 PM with racing at 7:00 PM.

With two races to go, the championship battles are heating up for the prestigious track championships in the 30th Anniversary Season of Scotia Speedworld.

Deuces are wild in the top divisions of the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series. Jordan Veinotte (Porters Lake) leads Tim Hortons at the Airport Rookie Matt Vaughan (Fletchers Lake) by two points in the Affordable Fuels Sportsman championship chase with two features to go. In the Strictly Hydraulics Legends division, Paul Goulden (Shelburne) has seen his lead cut to two points with two drivers, Adam Meehan (Rawdon) and Danny Harvey (Lantz) tied for the runner-up spot.

“Rational” Richard Drake (Halifax) scored his fourth Toursec Lightning feature win in five races last Friday and has cut his point deficit to four points behind leader Scott Thibodeau (Williamswood). Dave Matthews (Kennetcook) has a comfortable 23 point lead on Chris Hatcher (Beaver Bank) in the Toursec Thunder division, but with the hot hand Hatcher has held in the last two features, anything is possible.

Of the aforementioned nine drivers, only one driver, Matthews, has won a track championship in the division they are currently competing in.

Q104’s Bobby Mac from the Q Morning Crew is slated to join track announcer Tim Terry on Friday night. Fans can look forward to hearing Bobby Mac’s call of the races and post-race interviews.

Friday’s nights festivities are being presented by Pulse Heavy Duty. Pulse Heavy Duty opened its doors on Thornhill Drive in the Burnside Industrial park in February 2017. Pulse Heavy Duty’s primary goal is to take sourcing parts for both new and older vehicles off your plate.
